Boat Rental Positions
Many of these positions are outdoor
jobs where duties include; cleaning boats, instructing guests on safe operation
of our rental fleet, fueling boats on floating fuel docks, or just greeting
our guests. Some positions within our boat rental department are in an office
environment. Here you get to meet all the guests and help get their trip started
off on the right foot!
The
following are brief overviews of the basic duties and minimal requirements to
fill each position. Please take the time to ask more information about these
positions with your interviewing managers and your Human Resources office of
contact (Bullfrog or Wahweap).

Boat
Cleaner
- Thoroughly clean small powerboats and houseboats. Vacuum, make beds,
change linens and boat ready for the next customer. Wahweap and Bullfrog Marinas
offer a "pay by boat bonus" - please inquire with your representing
HR office for further details.
Boat Rental Night Auditor - Responsible for closing out days sales and accounting for all transactions that took place during business period.
Boat
Instructor
- Check in & check out customers renting boats on the docks. Walk
through basic usage and safety nformation. Knowledge of Lake Powell as
well as power boating experience is helpful. Long days in extreme heat
are possible.
Dockhand - Assist customers in docking all boats, attending the pump-out station, and piloting boats out of the marina. Long hours in extreme heat possible when working on the docks.
Boat
Rental Agent
- Make initial contact with the guest. Make reservations over the phone,
in person or check on reservations via the internet. Responsible for the paperwork
aspect of checking our boat rentals guests in and out during their visit. Computer
skills needed.
Reservationists - Works in our Boat Rentals office at Wahweap and Bullfrog Marinas. Helps customers book boats, jet skis, rooms if needed and many other fun filled vacation activities. Receives a 2.5% commission on all "add ons" & "upsells" during the course of a reservation. Must be proficient in using computers and have excellent customer service skills.
Fuel
Attendant
- Attendant to the floating fuel docks. Fuel customers boats and check
their oil. Responsible for safe and environmentally friendly filling of
petroleum related products. Long hours in extreme heat are possible.
Customer Service Specialist - Assist our guests with their Lake Powell dream vacation from start to finish! Enjoy doing something different everyday! Tasks may include everything from booking a guest's boat to helping get the groceries for their trip! Whatever the guests may need, you will help them get it! Must have superb customer service skills, enjoy talking to people and have a general knowledge of computer usage. Ability to multi-task is a must! Pay will include a 2.5% commission on all "add ons" & "upsells" during the course of a reservation.
Porter
- Working on our "T" dock for assisting customers with loading and
unloading their houseboats. Jobs as porters are physically demanding,
working long hours in extreme heat are possible.
Quality Assurance Worker - Check the cleaning of the houseboats and powerboats. Ensure usability for next guest to ensure highest quality of service. Working on the docks for long hours in extreme heat is possible.
Marine
Mechanic
- Conduct repairs on the various boat motors used by our marina including, 2
stroke, 4 stroke, and diesel motors. Year-round positions are available.
Ideal candidates have schooling or much industry experience or both.
Fiberglasser - Conduct repairs on our powerboat fleet. Strip and re-lay fiberglass on boats, assist in other fiber-glassing needs of the property. Ideal candidates have schooling or much industry experience or both.
