Requirements for employment

Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas welcomes all to apply.

All employees must meet the following requirements.

 

Availability & Season Information

 

Our main season is March to November, with peak season running from May to September.

Applicants for seasonal positions who can work through most of the season will be given priority

over those individuals available for a shorter time.

 

Applicants who wish to be considered for mid and late season replacements are also encouraged

to apply.  Applicants for full-time positions will be considered as such opportunities arise.

All full-time openings are posted internally to encourage of our seasonal and full-time employees,

with a weekly listing available from the Human Resources office.

 

Age

 

Non-resident employees must be a minimum age of 16 to apply and may not work in positions

where alcohol is served, power kitchen slicing machines are used, or motor vehicle / vessels are

operated.  All employees who require housing at their work location must be at least 18 years of age.

Those persons wishing to work on the water or in housekeeping must be at least 18 years of age.

 

Appearance  & Conduct

 

Lake Powell requires all employees to maintain a clean, well groomed appearance and to conduct themselves

at all times, on or off the job, in a reasonable and considerate manner.  Please do not apply if you are not willing to accept

the requirements of ARAMARK and/or The National Park Service in your work AND community life.

 

Health

 

Most of our jobs are physically demanding and require the ability to stand long hours, lift, bend and carry repeatedly.

Also, our climate is HOT and DRY in the summer, with most properties above 3,700 feet in elevation.

Please consider any health issues when reviewing these conditions.  Temperatures of 100 + degrees are very common

at all Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas Properties.

 

License, Certifications and Drug Tests

 

Lake Powell operates a variety of watercraft and motor vehicles for commercial use.  Applicants for these positions

are required to possess or be able to obtain the appropriate licenses or certificates required by law.

Expenses for such documents are the responsibility of the applicant.  DOT required drug tests and physical exams

are paid for by the company.  All employees are subject to drug and alcohol testing prior to and during the course of employment.

 

Employment Documentation

 

Upon receiving a job offer from Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas, be prepared to bring 2 forms of identification AND proof

of residency.  These must be with you during your general orientation with Lake Powell Resorts.  Acceptable forms of ID

are listed here.

 

All foreign students must apply through a student exchange program and possess a valid J1 visa and Social Security

card upon arrival.  No person will be employed without the proper documentation.

IMPORTANT!!!

 

All employees are required to produce an ORIGINAL Social Security card for payroll purposes at the time of hire.

Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas verifies ALL Social Security cards with the Social Security Administration.

Any discrepancies during verification of the Social Security card will result in the employee having to

visit / contact the nearest Social  Security office to resolve the issue.
