Transportation Position

The Lake Powell Transportation Department was formed to over see that all ARAMARK company vehicles and drivers are compliant with all DOT & ARAMARK Corporate Fleet policies. We are located at Wahweap, near Page, Arizona.
All Transportation needs & drivers,
lake wide, are coordinated through our department.
Locally @ Wahweap, we operate: the scheduled Resort & Town Shuttle system
using 15 passenger vans, CDL busses for special group requests & Wilderness
River Adventures, Laundry & Warehouse delivery trucks, delivery of rafts
& equipment, transport for all Dry Storage vessels, delivery of supplies
to/from North Lake, & delivery of recycle items. The North Lake operations,
Halls Crossing Marina & Bullfrog Marina, offer similar driving opportunities.
We have many rehires annually so it is recommended that you apply early. Our season is based on customer demands & normally begins in April – the end of Oct. Those applicants with multiple endorsements are encouraged to apply.
Many times our drivers are the first contact a guest may have with our company. We strive to make an excellent 1st impression. Our drivers are required to attend a variety of paid, mandatory orientation classes. Drivers are not only responsible for the safe transport of our guests; they often act as tour guide for the beautiful Lake Powell area.
The basic job description/requirements for all drivers: able to pass a DOT physical & extensive DOT background check, able to pass pre-employment drug test, willing to participate in the random drug testing pool, 3 years of prior safe driving, must be able to obtain a valid Utah or Arizona drivers license prior to employment, must be over 21 years of age, clean driving record required, previous customer service experience preferred, able to speak, write & read English effectively, have excellent verbal communication & guest resolution skills. All drivers must be comfortable using the company radio for communications. Applicants must be willing to learn about the Lake Powell Resort, surrounding areas, cross & up-sell Lake Powell.
All drivers will be required to: get in/out of vehicles at each stop & frequently on a daily basis, may have sit for long periods, must be able to lift 25+ pounds (i.e.: guest luggage). Employees are responsible for keeping the vehicles, offices, rest rooms & common customer areas clean. Employees must adhere to: the company handbook including, personal appearance policy, all DOT & Aramark Corporate Fleet rules & regulations.
Uniforms are provided. Departmental schedules will vary, are subject to change with little notice & are based on company needs.
Driver Classifications:
Driver I :
Non CDL Driving Positions - Warehouse delivery & Laundry Truck, Small Boat
hauling for Transportation.
• Non CDL Driving Position
• Operation of 15 passenger or less shuttle vans
• Drives Combination Vehicles under 26,000 lbs (GVW)
Driver II :
Class B or C CDL Positions - Transportation Position operating larger busses
& hauling small boats.
• Passenger and/or Air Brake Endorsements
• Class C – Non Air Brake Passenger Bus under 26,000 lbs (GVW)
• Class B – Passenger Bus or Straight Truck with Air Brakes, under
26,000 lbs (GVW), Combination Vehicle under 26,000 lbs (GVW)
Driver III:
Class A CDL Position - Transportation Position Operating Tractor Trailers, Hauling
Large Vessels, & Assisting in Shuttle Operations.
• Prefer Passenger Endorsement, however not required.
• Any Straight or Combination Vehicle over 26,000 lbs. (GVW)
Transportation applicants, lake wide, will go through a series of interviews.
Once an applicant has been selected as a potential employee, they will be mailed
a ‘Conditional Job Offer’ & a ‘Qualified Drivers File’. All items need to
be completed in their entirety and mailed back to the:

The Qualified Drivers File will take approximately 3-5 weeks to process via an independent company. Once the driver is approved, they will be able to proceed with the hiring process.
