Is there any cell phone coverage?
Dangling Rope is located in Dangling Rope Canyon which means there is high canyon walls. There are people with Verizon that get a signal in certain spots. As for all other phone services, they do not work. There is certain areas that you can hike to where you can get reception. As long as you can see the top of Navajo Mountain you should get service (this is where the phone tower is).
How do I pay my security deposit for housing?
Your security deposit for housing will start to be deducted out of your first full check.
What
activities are available in my off time?
You are here to create experiences in one of the world's most aesthetic
and unique landscapes. So take your pick: wakeboard, water-ski,
hike, camp, sight see, photography, lazy days on the beach, rent
a powerboat, go to other National Parks, and much, much more! The
best part about being located at Dangling Rope is there is no light
pollution and its one of the best places to see the stars at night!
It also has some of the coolest slot canyons for Kayaking in. During
the summer you can travel to Wahweap were there are a lot of employee
trips planned throughout the season, in 2008 these trips included
Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Flagstaff, and Phoenix with lots
of other local trips. The employee recreation center has two tv
areas, pool table, ping pong table and a fitness center. We also
have 'Star Power' parties every month, these parties always have
a theme and are a great way to get to know your coworkers.
Where are the closest grocery and shopping areas?
We are located at least 2 hours from the nearest grocery/shopping area. On your days off you are able to rent a power boat or ride the Rainbow Bridge tour boat down to Wahweap Marina. Wahweap is located 6 miles outside of the small town of Page AZ. There is a Super Walmart, two grocery stores, a library, and a variety of restaurants in town. Flagstaff AZ and St George Utah are the closest large shopping destinations, each located 2.5-3 hours away from Page.
How
can I cash my paychecks?
You can either cash your pay check at Dangling Rope with your manager
or we have 2 main banks in Page, the Bank of the West and Arizona
National. There are also several check cashing facilities in page
including Walmart.
Where do I eat?
Are
there cooking facilities that I can use?
All the houses at Dangling Rope come with a fully equipped kitchen.
