Dangling Rope is Lake Powell's "26 person floating service station", a sight for the sore eyes of the lost, hungry or out of gas boat traveler!
We are an intermission break for visitors providing thousands of guests with services from our marina store, snack bar, boat repair shop and the best ice cream stand west of the Mississippi. We need outgoing and friendly employees to welcome the weary travelers to our busy marina.
Our simple resources, water based status, and remote location mean only one thing: our employees are here to truly experience the people and places of this canyon land country without the comforts of home. While our small staff and the great outdoors are our two lar gest resources, we also travel to other marinas for social and recreational activities and make sure we are both a seen and heard part of the Lake Powell experience. Outside of work, we expect our employees to do the same things our customers are here for. Take advantage of living in the Grand Cirlce area and visit Monument Valley, Zion, Bryce, Arches and Grand Canyon National Park. The adventures and relationships you create here is the reason our employees keep coming back year after year.
Dangling Rope Marina is located approximately at mid-lake, half way between Wahweap and Bullfrog marinas. The distance to any nearby city is nearly 2 hours to Page, AZ which can only be reached via Waheap Marina by boat, followed by a 15 minute drive to the town itself.
HOUSING & MEALS
Before you read about all of our fantastic housing opportunitys please note that all Employees should come prepared with twin-sized bedding, towels, bath products, blankets, hangers, and enough clothing for warm and cool nights. Lake Powell is located in the high desert at 4,000 + feet. During the summer, temperatures can reach well over 100 degrees, with temperatures during the late and early seasons topping out in the mid 50's. If you are planning on being on property during the cooler times, warmer clothes and bedding are vital. Please come prepared for all weather conditions.
Cooking and pets are not allowed. All ARAMARK Parks and Destinations housing is NON - SMOKING. Pets may be allowed in Full Time housing, this will be at the discretion of the Human Resources Manager at the property you are working at.

What is the best part about working here?
Seven day houseboat vacations during the off season for employees and their families for the cost of fuel, oil, insurance and a damage deposit. Only those employees who successfully complete their work agreement and full time employees are eligible for this incentive.

Powerboat and water toy usage for only $16 per day for the insurance waiver, plus a $50 refundable deposit in addition to fuel and oil.

Is there any cell phone coverage?
Dangling Rope is located in Dangling Rope Canyon which means there is high canyon walls. There are people with Verizon that get a signal in certain spots. As for all other phone services, they do not work. There is certain areas that you can hike to where you can get reception. As long as you can see the top of Navajo Mountain you should get service (this is where the phone tower is).
How do I pay my security deposit for housing?
Your security deposit for housing will start to be deducted out of your first full check.
What activities are available in my off time?
You are here to create experiences in one of the world's most aesthetic and unique landscapes. So take your pick: wakeboard, water-ski, hike, camp, sight see, photography, lazy days on the beach, rent a powerboat, go to other National Parks, and much, much more! The best part about being located at Dangling Rope is there is no light pollution and its one of the best places to see the stars at night! It also has some of the coolest slot canyons for kayaking in. During the summer you can travel to Wahweap where there are a lot of employee trips planned throughout the season, in previous years these trips included Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Flagstaff, and Phoenix with lots of other local trips. The employee recreation center has two tv areas, pool table, ping pong table and a fitness center.
Where are the closest grocery and shopping areas?
We are located at least 2 hours from the nearest grocery/shopping area. On your days off you are able to rent a power boat or ride the Rainbow Bridge tour boat down to Wahweap Marina. Wahweap is located 6 miles outside of the small town of Page AZ. There is a Super Walmart, one grocery stores, a library, and a variety of restaurants in town. Flagstaff, Arizona and St George, Utah are the closest large shopping destinations, each located 2.5-3 hours away from Page.
How can I cash my paychecks?
You can either cash your pay check at Dangling Rope with your manager or we have 2 banks in Page, the Bank of the West and National Bank of Arizona. There are also several check cashing facilities in page including Walmart.
Where do I eat?
The only places to eat at Dangling Rope are your house, the Marina Store and the Snack Bar.
Are there cooking facilities that I can use?
All the houses at Dangling Rope come with a fully equipped kitchen.
