Halls Crossing Frequently Asked Questions...
You
will be living and working in a hot and arid region - please pack
to accommodate these conditions. It is advisable to bring clothes
that will be comfortable during the hot summer months and to also
be prepared for chilly nights and cooler fall temps.
Hall’s Crossing requires you to bring your own bedding for a twin
size bed and towels. If living in couples housing bring full/queen
size bedding. You may call the housing office to double check which
bed size you will be getting. We do not provide toiletries so come
prepared with shampoo, soap, toothbrush & toothpaste, toilet
paper, etc . . .
Uniform shirts and shorts are provided for most positions, please check with your supervisor or manager if there are specific requirements for your area (i.e. property maintenance staff must provide their own pants). If you require a “specialty” size please notify your supervisor or manager once you receive your job offer to see if we can special order it for you as we can only provide short sizes 30-48 and shirt sizes S-XXL. Closed toe shoes are required for most positions, so please bring comfortable, non-skid shoes and socks with you.
You are also encouraged to bring any personal items such as music, books, and special foods while keeping in mind that space is limited in a shared dorm room. If desired bring your laptop computer, there is very limited access to wireless internet around property. Some of the recreation trips include hiking, boating, swimming, and extended periods in the sun so bring comfortable clothes, hats/visors, sunglasses, and sun block.

What are the methods of transportation to and from Hall’s Crossing?
Hall’s Crossing is very remote and the closest drop off location for Greyhound and Amtrak is in Green River, UT about 2 hours away from Bullfrog. We provide a Shuttle from Green River to Bullfrog for $25 per person that is payroll deducted. The pick up point is the Roadway Inn which also happens to be the drop off point for Greyhound. Please keep in mind if you are going to utilize the shuttle and arrive before Monday or after 4pm on Monday afternoon there will not be a shuttle arriving until the following Monday, so please be prepared to spend the night(s) in Green River.

Receiving packages can be a challenge. We strongly suggest using UPS to ship personal packages if it cannot be mailed to a PO Box as they are the only delivery professionals that come here Monday-Friday. FedEx Ground can take up to 3 weeks to get here. DHL does not come here and uses the Post Office as their back up delivery system. Packages not mailed to the Post Office are delivered to the warehouse and are available for pick up Monday-Friday during business hours. The physical address is:

Please anticipate having to add at least 3 days on to an expected delivery date.
Will my cell phone work there?
The only good answer to this is maybe. We do have a multi-provider cell tower on the lodge, but service is very sporadic and sometimes may not work at all depending on the weather. The providers with the best service are Verizon, Alltel and T-Mobile. AT&T/Cingular will usually only work if you have a Cingular phone. If we have not listed your provider then your phone will probably not work here
